I moved near to Milan at the beginning of 2018 for various reasons, but primarily that my partner landed a position in Busto Arsizio with the University of Milan, and by that point my work was almost entirely mobile since I was doing the majority through email and phone.

Prior to this I was working from my computer in the city of Leicester, England, for various clients, the majority of whom are small to medium sized business owners. I also worked, and still do work, for some agencies on a white label basis, providing web design and development support for much larger businesses through themselves.

I started to take courses in Italian around 6-7 years ago, at the time so I could communicate with the family of my partner. I finally opted for a private tutor once we realised that a move to Italy was more than just a possibility. I have reached a level where I can comfortably communicate with Italian people, but I’m now working to improve on a daily basis, especially with grammar and understanding others, especially when they use slang terms that my lessons did not cover!

My aim is now to offer services in Italy to clients that require web design and development as well as assistance with the foreign side of their business that utilises English as a second language. I have previous experience in the newspaper industry that involved a degree of proofreading, so my standard of English is good even from a UK perspective. I also have contacts in the UK for services in this field that could be useful for clients.
